katie palmer
Katie was always playing “house” as a child, whether it was in her log cabin in
the backyard, decorating her miniature dollhouse or rearranging the Barbie
furniture.
As an adult, Katie found herself in San Francisco working for a small children’s
clothing manufacturer. This opportunity allowed her to learn all facets of the
apparel industry. Eventually her dreams grew bigger and the path lead her back
home…Columbus, Ohio.
Starting her own business was a
natural progression of her career. A passion for collecting,
one green Fiestaware plate and the concept for SoBo Style
was born.
Katie eagerly began traveling through small towns and hitting flea markets to
create the look for her business. Katie outfitted the original store location with
functional objects and vintage home furnishings. SoBo Style quickly became
the epitome of modern and comfortable cottage style.
Customers soon became friends and their loyalty necessitated the move to a
larger home. The transformation of the new SoBo Style has afforded Katie the
opportunity to expand the product lines and widen the variety of the SoBo Style
look.
A visit to SoBo Style might find you chuckling at the past, inspire you to redecorate
a room in the future or discover the perfect treasure for the present.
